Hey sweetie! I have a question lol =) I normally eat healthy but lately been snacking on foods that I normally would avoid. So I was thinking of doing a detox to start clean. Does detox work? I am not doing it to lose weight, rather to clean my body.

Hey my gorgeous love!! Thanks for your interest in my blog and for the awesome question!
Detox is the body’s natural process of getting rid of toxins from the body which are inhaled from the environment and eaten from lots of bad for us foods. Since our bodies naturally get rid of toxins by themselves, many health professionals don’t believe they are necessary stating that there is no evidence that detoxing diets are helpful.
I am not into doing the lemonade diet, eating only fruits, taking laxatives, or following any crazy or extremely low calorie cleansing diets. What I am into is detoxing the healthy way by eating foods that are loaded with all that good stuff (antioxidants, minerals, and vitamins) which promote healthy liver function-speeding up the waste removal process.
Below is how I detox! Also if I have a bad weekend of binge eating, I eat less for the next several days to give my body a little rest. Overeating is a bad habit which should be stopped; it causes a lot of illnesses.
