Fan Question: I heard from a friend that drinking apple cider vinegar can help you lose weight quickly? Is this true? I want to lose lots of weight and fast! Please HELP!!!

There are marketers claiming that drinking 1-3 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar before meals or taking an apple cider vinegar supplement helps curb the appetite and burn fat. There is no scientific proof that this works.
Although occasional use of apple cider vinegar is safe for most people, it won’t lead to weight loss. Remember that it shouldn’t be consumed daily because it is highly acidic and may irritate your throat if you drink it often or in large amounts. Also, it may interact with certain drugs which may cause your potassium levels to drop.
We all want to take weight off quickly and keep it off permanently and wouldn’t it be great if there was a magic pill that would do the trick but unfortunately there isn’t. Don’t buy into the hype of wanting a quick fix. The key to losing weight is burning more calories than you take in. Eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean protein and exercise daily.
