Celebrities Latest Fad Diets: The Friend or Foe?
By Alya Alyssa Kattan
Ever wonder how celebrities are able to shed the pounds at the blink of the eye (other than photo shoot :p). I am exposing the most popular and most secretive diet trends among Hollywood’s finest.
1) The Blood Type Diet
This is Kim Kardashians little secret! Whenever Kimmy wants to squeeze into her size 2 jeans, she goes on this diet which requires you eat and avoid certain foods according to your blood type.
A Breakdown of the Eating Plan
Blood Type O- Eat a low-carbohydrate and high in protein diet. Limit dairy products. Avoid avocados, Brazil nuts, and oranges! Engage in heavy exercise.
Blood Type A- Eat plenty of fish and vegetables. Avoid red meat! Consume a low dairy intake and engage in light exercise.
Blood Type B- Eat lots of meat, dairy, fruit and vegetables. Have some fish. Make sure to avoid chicken and bacon!
Blood Type AB- follow the rules for both type A and B.
2) The Ever Popular Master Cleanse/Lemonade Diet
Bootylicious Beyonce popularized this one. For two weeks, she drank a mixture of lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper combined with a saltwater flush each morning and some herbal laxative tea each evening.
3) The Baby Food Diet
Jennifer Aniston who is known to be super healthy has also fallen victim from the pressures of Hollywood. It has been reported that she ate14 portions of pureed baby food a day to lose weight for s movie role.
My Final Thoughts on Crash Dieting
While these diets help you lose lots of weight quickly, they are not your best bet! Sure restricting calories can help with the weight loss battle but just remember that if you eat less than 1,200 calories a day you will slow down your metabolism drastically and you will gain all the weight back as soon as you start eating normal again!!
Remember to always consult a doctor before starting a new diet or exercise program.

OMG!! Baby food diet! Never have heard of that before. I might have to try it out.
I have tried the blood type diet and can say that it worked for me. Eating baby food just seems crazy! Actually even the master cleanse is too drastic for me. But I guess some are willing to do whatever works!
I seriously want to try this!!! Awesome baby!!! Xxx
I totally think you can do a modified babyfood diet. Like I was sick one time and I made a puree of avocado and banana because I saw Tori make it for her infant daughter on her show. Then I also ate mashed sweet potatoes. I have kind of kept at making “baby-style” food because I am getting ready for my wedding and also…cant hurt to get ready for making healthy foods for your own babies. I don’t know if i can ever pop a can of roasted chicken baby food though.
